I’ve noticed I like people who smile a lot

Of course that’s not the only criteria 

A good disposition, a friendly nature, and a helpful attitude

Count as well

I started wondering why I admire people who smile often

These are my thoughts:

A smile shows love

It shows an openness of spirit

It says I like to talk to you 

Or at the minimum I acknowledge you

A smile cheers the soul

A smile lifts up one’s spirit

A smile usually makes the person being smiled at, smile too

And it’s always refreshing to smile

The world is a better place when we smile

All the troubles seem further away
