The lotus grows
Pure and white

Surrounded by darkness
The candle glows
At midnight

Surrounded by doubt
Faith shines resplendent
In the heart

Surrounded by fear
Serenity rules
As the heart turns heavenward

Surrounded by shadow
The flame is ignited
And burns bright!
